I am a fan of Jiu Jitsu and MMA. I have adapted the stretches I have learned over the years to specifically target the techniques and movements of Jiu Jitsu and any sport.
Here is a little about me and my backgroung in flexibility. I am a Student of many forms of Dance. My Mom was a Professional Ballet dancer and I have vivid memories, from the age of two, of being in the Dance Studio with her, watching her train on the hardwood dance floor in front of the floor to ceiling mirrors. At the age of 8 I began my own formal dace training under my Mom, and then auditioned for continued training under Dery Olm.
In our home, growing up, during chores, cooking dinner, or just about any time, the Sykes family (including Dad) could be found with the stereo cranked up and the family dancing and singing together to our favorite Motown or Classic Rock hits. Dance has taught me, among many important lessons, the necessity of being closely in tune with my body and mind.
